As all of my readers know, my new neice was born Thursday, and is HUGE! Below are a few pictures to show her off. She is beautiful!!!!! (Of course, I think the rest of the family is too, but I'm biased..I know)
This is Abby and her momma, just a few hours after she was born. Jackie looks really good to have delivered a baby just that morning!
Grandma and the new grandbaby! My mother doesn't look old enough to have grandkids does she? She's over fifty, and doesn't look a day over forty if you ask me. Of course, you didn't did you?
This is the happy new father. My brother-in-law Kenneth is a big man, but that certianly doesn't dwarf the size of his daughter. They are cute together, aren't they!
Ashleigh loves her little sister, but she sometimes gets a little cranky since Momma can't pick her up right now. But I think she is going to be a great older sister to Abby, and since they are only two years apart I think they will grow up well together. I imagine that they will fight more than Jackie and I did though considering we were nine years apart!
Here's one of me and my new neice before I headed home on Saturday. They had only been home from the hospital a few hours, and Abby certianly does seem to sleep a lot. I know that is normal, but Ashleigh was incredibly alert when she was real young. Of course, Abby seemed to be either wide awake or sound asleep with no inbetween stage.
And I'll leave you with a picture of just Abby, asleep in her carrier after they got home. She already fills that thing out, doesn't she? Momma told us at the hospital Thursday night that she looks more like Jackie and I did when we were born than Ashleigh did. We also think she is going to have hazel eyes and her hair will be lighter than her sister's hair. It's going to be exciting to see how she changes over the next couple of years!!!!
EDIT: Jackie has some better shots up on her blog now, Follow our Bliss.

What a beauty your neice Abby is...Thanks for sharing the photos. And in the one of you I was picturing you in your tennies (and me in my ugly black shoes!).
Go buy yourself a cute new pair of shoes you like. You deserve it and you will be amazed how great a new pair of shoes can make you feel..
Cheers, Judi
