So far I don't feel incredibly successful this year in my plan to lose weight. But I'm still working on it, which puts me ahead of most people of most people that started this year with the same plan in mind. So, at least I'm still here and trying.
This is going to be something of a slow month for me, hopefully. I take my final exam on Friday, and then classes don't start up again until the 29th. Of course, I have two graduations, Mother's Day, and my wedding anniversary to attend this month, but that should only account for a slightly busy weekend or two.
I have already talked about my goals for the month, but since it's the 1st, I want to post them again.
-Walk to work at least 3 days a week
-Track my points at least 5 days a week
-Take my multivitamin every day
-Get a minimum of 28 activity points every week
-Eat AT LEAST one fruit and vegetable every day
Now, I'll admit that I have a lot listed there, but they are all little things. I hope that I exceed all of these goals, but I wanted to give myself a little wiggle room! Life happens, and usually gets in the way of good intentions.
I have started the month off fairly well. I walked to work today, had my vitamin and fruit for breakfast. And I've been tracking. So I think I'm doing pretty well.
My boss is back to work today. I've only seen him for a minute, but it's good to have him back. And it means my scholarship form for this semester has been signed. I'll have to deliver it this afternoon so they can get evedrything processed. I really don't want to have to adjust my schedule again just because they can't do paperwork. That will cover my tuition so I will only have to pay for books this year.
Well, I should get back to pretending to work. Or at least read my school book. I can't get an A in my class, but I can at least work to keep my B!

It is getting so nice outside think of your walks to work as play time! I just started riding my bike to work and I just love the early morning! Take a banana and apple to work everyday and tell yourself that you cannot have any junk food until you eat both, then take a baggie of carrots and that is your snack food. I tend to snack a lot at work so I try to at least have a cupy or two of carrots before I start in on the chocolate!
I know what you mean! I couldn't have put it into words better.
I don't feel successful either but am still battling on when everyone around me who started dieting has quit ages ago!
We can struggle along together and hold our heads high that we are at least "trying".
Try try and try again and if at first you don't succeed try again!
