Friday's Feast!

I haven't done one of these in a long time, so I thought I would today.

Appetizer
What was the last game you purchased?
I think it was Battleground: Crossbows and Catapults, but I could be off on that.

Soup
Name something in which you don’t believe.
Complete selflessness. Everyone wants something for everything they do. (I'm very cynical person this morning....)

Salad
If you could choose a celebrity to be your boss, who would you pick?
Denzel Washington

Main Course
What was a lesson you had to learn the hard way?
That just because someone says they are your friend doesn't mean that you can trust them.

Dessert
Describe your idea of the perfect relaxation room.
It would be painted in light blues and greens, have large windows looking out over a lake (but with thick curtains so the light can be blocked out when wished), and be full on comfortable couches. There would also be a bookshelf with a wide selection of novels to fit my moods.

Congratulations on getting rid of the 2.5 lbs. and having the inner strength to get up and go to work on a day that you were sleep deprived and not feeling well.

Re. soup, I disagree about complete selflessness. Unless you count the joy that one might feel when giving with no expectation of receiving, I think people very often do the selfless thing. Certainly parents often do it with regard to their children. Also people who perform heroic acts. Also all those small and anonymous behaviors that people routinely perform because it seems to be the right thing and/or doing so brings them pleasure.

Re. the main course, that sucks that you had to learn that one. (Since I've had few friends over the years, I haven't had to learn that one - except for this one time . . .

Re. dessert, a massive pile of books, mostly novels, would also be in my perfect relaxation room.

Your relaxation room sounds great, but mine would be pink or yellow.

My desktop is a picture of Disneyland's castle all decked out in Christmas lights aka snow.

To be truly relaxing it would have to have more than one bookshelf! :) Otherwise it sounds lovely!

I too love the sound of your relaxation room.

I would also choose some changing lights that give atmosphere and lots of candles. I simply can't get enough candles - they are dotted all around my house and make me feel lovely and relaxed and romantic of course!
